1. Vegan steaks made with quinoa

  • 200 g of quinoa
  • 100 g carrot
  • 70 g oatmeal
  • 1 onion

  • 30 ml of vegetable milk
  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • First, wash and rinse the quinoa, then bring it to a boil in a saucepan for about twenty minutes.
  • Pass the quinoa through a sieve and set aside for later.
  • Peel the onion, garlic clove and leek, then cut these vegetables into julienne.
  • Put the vegetables that you have just cut into julienne in a blender and mix until you obtain a perfectly homogeneous mixture. If you wish, before you put the vegetables in a blender, you can cook them, but this is not necessary. In addition, it will take you longer.
  • Add the vegetable milk, cooked quinoa, oats, salt and any spices of your choice. Stir everything well.
  • Now is the time to peel, wash and grate the carrots. Add them to the mixture and stir everything again.
  • Stir in the amount of breadcrumbs you think is appropriate. The idea is to obtain a consistent texture. Store the mixture in the refrigerator for a few hours so that the steaks can take shape when cooking.
  • When it comes to baking, you can opt for baking or pan. If you opt for the second option, fry your vegan steaks on a sufficiently hot pan with a drizzle of olive oil. Then remove the excess oil with absorbent paper. If you opt for baking, place the steaks on a baking sheet and cook for ten minutes on each side at 180ÂșC (top and bottom heat).

  • 80 g of brown rice
  • 100 g carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 red pepper
  • Wheat flour
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation

  • First of all, first peel and cut the onions, carrots and garlic cloves. Then put them on a pan on which you will have previously poured a drizzle of olive oil. Brown everything over low heat for about fifteen minutes.
  • Add the peeled and chopped pepper as well as the cooked brown rice. Mix everything well to obtain a homogeneous mixture and taste.
